About Me

Hi! I’m Natalie, a graphic designer and illustrator based in Austin, TX, with deep roots in Florida and the East Coast and a lifelong love for nature. From the beauty of clouds and sunsets to the enchanting sounds of songbirds and cicadas, I find inspiration in the intricacies of the world around me. My design journey was initially inspired during my time with AmeriCorps 4-H CAPITAL in Austin, where I served as a youth educator in gardening and natural resources, discovering my passion for creating meaningful materials like nature guides and children’s storybooks. This experience ignited my desire to find a path to blend art and design with social impact and meaning.

I originally earned a Bachelor’s in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida, where my deep appreciation for the natural world truly flourished. My focus on the human side of environmental work led me to pursue an Associate of Applied Science in Visual Communication, merging my interests in design and education.

One of my most rewarding roles was as the Graphic Designer for Austin’s Watershed Protection Department, where I combined my design skills with environmental stewardship on projects that protect water quality and inspire community engagement—work that resonates deeply with my values.

In late 2022, I moved to Portland, Maine, to be with my partner, embracing new and exciting freelance opportunities. While Maine offered enriching experiences, we recently returned to Austin, where I’m eager to continue my creative journey within a community that fuels my inspiration. Through design and creative expression, I’m continually exploring what it means to be human and how I can contribute to a greater purpose in my work.
